And the rest of October!
Day 217: Friday, October 16
We started our next puzzle.
Asa was not thrilled with the color scheme.
The edge proved difficult. (So did the whole thing- we had to move it during the week because we didn't finish it over the weekend).
And we made the cookie thing. Quarantine snacks. Yay.
Day 218: Saturday, October 17
My little friend was still in my pond. (I haven't seen him in at least a week now, though, so he might be on his way to a bigger pond).
And shenanigans.
Day 219: Sunday, October 18
Asa had a free $10 at Moes, so we used it to get queso and guac for the taco bar. And I had a free $10 at Panera, so we used it to get cookies.
Which made for a very yummy taco bar.
And we've been playing this new mobile game, 270. You get to be a candidate and fundraise and try and win the presidency!
Day 220: Monday, October 19
Mondays are pretty boring. But, I do get a lot of work done.
And we've been playing games.
Plus, a cute and cozy Ellie picture for you.
Day 221: Tuesday, October 20
Calib put off his turn on dinner for two weeks, trading with his brothers. And then learned the slow cooker could be his best friend.
Peyton is on to his math class, and getting help from grandma for it.
Hayden, meanwhile, it working on binary.
And since I can't go to any rallies this time around, I ordered buttons to add to my collection.
I put my Kamala Harrison one next to my Geraldine Ferraro. Sad I don't have Sarah Palin.
Calib may have been on dinner duty, but Hayden always makes the salads for him.
And we finally pulled out a new toy for Ellie (we buy a couple at a time so we can pull the next one out when she "finishes" one).
She's always so happy to get a new one.
Day 222: Wednesday, October 21
We celebrated Eisenhowers birthday (about a week late).
And Hayden drew his Eisenhower design.
Day 223: Thursday, October 22
Asa and I did our Thursday errands, and decided to swing by lunch at Aussie Grill. We planned on eating in the car before going over to Costco. But, they put new tables outside to eat over in a grassy area, which was lovely.
And of course, we got some Wawa while we were out.
And then we kept working on the puzzle.
And even squeezed in an evening walk (it has been hot during the day, but once the sun starts to go down it's lovely out there. Actually excited for the time change in that aspect.)
A tree on our walk has been in full bloom, and hummingbirds LOVE it. There were probably about 20 flying around it when we were there.
Oh, and of course it was debate night. This one was more Civil though.
Day 224: Friday, October 23
These two jerks were in the kitchen at 9 am arguing over making couscous or pizza rolls, ruining quiet morning coffee time.
And again, evening walk. We're back to those as pretty much a daily occurrence.
Day 225: Saturday, October 24
Saw a gator with his mouth open! That's a first. (It's not the best picture, but still cool).
Finally finished the Beauty and the Beast Puzzle.
Made our video for how Elections work... have you voted in the candy bar election yet? You have until Monday!
Asa made us dinner for date night.
Walked the loop.
And even spotted a Biden/Harris sign. That's a first (we're not supposed to have signs).
And played some games. Etta was super into it.
Day 226: Sunday, October 25
Took our Sunday Bike Ride.
And then had tacos and watched football. Calib left his taco, and Etta tried SO HARD not to eat it.
Day 227: Monday, October 26
Calib drove somewhere from the first time since March. It was just to the end of the subdivision to get Chinese Food for dinner, but it totally counts.
Day 228: Tuesday, October 27
And then Tuesday Calib also took care of dinner, by making us all chili!
And Hayden had a moment.
Day 229: Wednesday, October 28
We celebrated Teddy Roosevelt's birthday. He's my favorite! (Though I also like more obscure James K. Polk)
And Hayden did his drawing.
Asa made us date night dinner again.
And we got off my brother's zoom birthday call in time to walk the loop before it got too dark.
Day 230: Thursday, October 29
Yesterday, both Trump and Biden were in Tampa. Trump was at the stadium.... where there's also a Covid testing site. The irony!
We also got out our next puzzle.
And saw a gator on our walk. The glare makes it hard to see. But, he's there. I swear.
It was warm, but nice last night (lower humidity, yay!)
And Hayden finally got to use the voting booth, because the five of us cast our ballots in the Candy Bar Election.
And just like that, we're up to today! The doors are open, which is lovely. But, I haven't taken any pictures today, so that will have to wait until the next blog.
