Social Distancing Journal, Days 332 thru 338

  Day 332: Monday February 8

Hayden and I ditched the school work. He had a new Chrome Book to play around on.

And I had some cleaning up to do. We did leave up the kitchen decorations for about a week, though.

But man, that Super Bowl hang over was real.

But you guys, the Bucs won the Superbowl. Google had fireworks to celebrate.

And the Bucs Twitter looked a bit different.

  Day 333: Tuesday February 9

Hayden got a birthday card from Uncle Cort and Aunt Holly (they sent him a pizza as a gift for lunch on Saturday, and he just thought it was the greatest thing ever).

We tried for Tennis Tuesday, but the courts were being resurfaced.

  Day 334: Wednesday February 10

The Bucs held their boat parade, and I was so sad we weren't going, that Hayden and I crafted our own Bucs boat parade...

...while we watched the real parade on my laptop.

We printed out some players, added some of our accessories from the snackadium...

Made a few extra boats...

And even constructed our own Lombardi Trophy out of foil. Unlike the real one, this one didn't get thrown from one boat to another.

Fun fact: during the real boat parade, Captain Fear was driving the Bucs eboat we drove the week before!

So, it wasn't the same as being there, but it was something.

And then for dinner, we ate around the boat parade and had Ford's Garage, grandma's treat for Hayden's birthday.

AND, the Estate burger was back on the menu, after a bout a year of being gone. It tasted SO good.

And Peyton finally joined us!

With that dinner done, Asa and I also decided to start on the 2000 piece puzzle I had gotten him for Christmas.

2,000 pieces was, in fact, a lot.

Day 335: Thursday February 11

Peyton, still displaced, can be found sleeping almost anywhere these days.

We also did a picnic lunch at the beach (the sand volleyball court down at our park).

And kept working on our puzzle.

Lets finish up Thursday with an Etta picture.

Day 336: Friday February 12

And we can start Friday with one too.

Still working on the puzzle.

And getting some of our Super Bowl merch (grandma bought us all something!)

We also finished off Hayden's birthday cake.

But, per Hayden's request we also had one more birthday tradition to carry out: an all nighter. Around 11:30, Asa and I headed off to Taco Bell to kick the night off (and we saw like a million deer!)

Day 337: Saturday February 13

Just about midnight and we were going through the drive thru, and I was already thinking 'man, I'm too old for this'. Good things I had kids young. This would not be a request I could fullfill 10 years from now (although to mom's credit, she stayed up with us too!)

We brought home the Taco Bell...

...and then put on some coffee.

And then played a bunch of games.

You guys are my witnesses, I was not , in fact, the Cannibal.

By 3 am, we were walking the neighborhood to try and stay awake (and we saw some deer then too).

Everyone came along for the walk around the loop.

And we spent a lot of the evening working on the puzzle. We were in a time crunch, we needed the table for Sunday night dinner.

The dogs were all confused, and pooped.

Phenom, complete with his tongue hanging out.

By 5:30 am, we were headed off to get some McDonalds for breakfast. I had made it.

We all made it!

We figured 6 am was a good enough time to say we had pulled an all nighter, so we had our breakfast...

...and head to bed.

Still Saturday... we got up around noon and worked some more on the puzzle.

Oh, and we watched as the Senate voted to acquit Trump a second time. Surprise, surprise.

But I got my Super Bowl Champion magnet in the mail.

And Peyton got his shirt.

Day 338: Sunday February 14: Quarantine Valentines Day!

Asa gave me a little extra something in my coffee for me.

And we finished our puzzle!

Seriously loved this one. But 2,000 pieces is something.

And then we went out to have lunch together for Valentines.

And for dinner, we had our annual Valentines Fondu.
