I'm a little behind on this blog. It's been a week since we ended our Fenderson project now, and I have lots to tell you about from the last week, but I thought since we spent six weeks, the Fenderson's deserved their own quick wrap up blog instead of being an afterthought on an amazingly awesome week.
So, last Saturday the boys got some mail.
A clue along with an arrest warrant..
let them know Corky AND Casey were back in Australia, Sydney specifically.
So, they filled out the arrest warrant, and got one last letter from the Home Office. Both Corky from Australia, and Casey (who had gotten away in Africa) were captured. Mount Kilimanjaro and Uluru were both returned.
And the Home Office had one big thank you box in store for their agents.
In addition to some things I had picked up along the way that never made their ways into clues, and some Australia specific stuff, they got all kinds of geography things: a couple of games, workbooks, and maps.
They were excited (but a little sad) for their last correspondence with the Home Office. They wouldn't even let me put the mailbox away when we were done.
The letter told them to check outside for their thank you box.
They were quite excited about the contents.
Peyton marked the last landmarks as found, and Fenderson's as captured.
That's it!
Since we were gone this week, we haven't gotten to play the games yet (I am TOTALLY excited for the 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago game!)
And the boys all did cheers, despite the fact nobody (except Calib of course) knows who the double agent was.
Fun new games to play! Who says learning can't be fun.
Oh, and these things from Holland, they were awesome.
Besides the Fenderson's we had our summer reading club at the library.
And a Build N Grow at our new Lowe's store. No more driving half an hour to get to the build n grows! YAY!
This was our Sunday paper last week. I was sad to see them lose, but we've all become hockey fans around here, and on the upside I didn't have to cut our anniversary celebration short for a victory parade (which we were totally going to do.)
Asa's classes registered, so now it says his course work is 100% complete.
We had the best aquafinz coupon for our anniversary (we got $20 off!) so we went out to celebrate.
That's all for the Fendersons! It was a SUPER fun project, and I'll be a little sad to take down the board in the kitchen today, but on to other things!
Next Up: Anniversary EXTRAVAGANZA week!
