Day 3: So Long Vegas, Hello Honolulu!

We were only in Vegas for two nights, so today was our check out day. Luckily, along with our package came a late check out, so we didn't have to be out of our room until 1 this afternoon. We hung out around the resort a bit this morning,

and then we spent a couple of hours at the pool. No cabana pool for us today, but the 'normal' pool isn't so bad. It has a sand bottom for part of it, and plenty of other areas to swim, sand-free.

Plus there's all kinds of nice little places to sit and hang out, all of varying depths.

The area up above Hayden and Asa there is where the cabana pool is. The waterfall comes over, and there is about a foot and a half of water you can sit in and relax.

So we spent our morning swimming, and hanging out in the pool. It was a lovely way to relax before packing up.

We headed back up to our room one last time to pack up- and I will note, even without a scale, I nailed the weight on each of the bags for the second time in a row. (We had a couple pounds to spare in the bags, and a pound in the suitcase).

We checked out and headed over to Blaze Pizza for lunch. The boys are hoping to carry over a little of our food budget from today, so we had lunch on the cheap. Plus, Blaze is always yummy.

I did take a picture of our rental car, I'm not sure what it was- but it was cute, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully, which is all we really cared about.

We headed up to the strip area, and stopped to take our picture at the Las Vegas sign. There was quite the line, and it is still pretty hot out, but the boys waited patiently.

We never really visited the strip, but we did drive down it to give the boys a quick tour of the place.

And then we went to the pawn shop that's featured on 'Pawn Stars'. It was the one thing Peyton REALLY wanted to do in Las Vegas, because he loves the show, so I promised him we would stop by.

The reviews for the place were just 'ok'- basically that it was a normal old shop, with not much in the shop that you see on the show, and a big section that is just 'Pawn Stars' Merchandise. I'd say that is pretty spot on, but the boys thought it was super cool just to go, and they were all excited about getting the badge for the Poke-Gym at the Pawn Shop.

We did look around a bit. It's mostly jewelry, coins and art work, and a decent amount of sports memorabilia. But Hayden bought a cool looking rock, and I got a Pawn Stars magnet.

After that we headed to the airport for our flight, we were a little early, and then slightly delayed, so we had some time to kill in the airport, but it wasn't too bad.

Next Stop: Honolulu, Hawaii!
