Social Distancing Day 54 & 55

New today, the NFL schedule came out. The Bucs have five primetime games. But, who knows if fans will get to go. This might fall into the "remember when we thought maybe we could go see an NFL game in 2020? How ridiculous we were!

Disney Springs is opening in a limited capacity May 20th, they announced today. Citiwalk is opening some things on May 15th, I think was the day. The aquarium is opening up back May 11th.

The parks in our neighborhood are opening back up on Saturday.

And Calib and Peyton have a Zoom meeting for Flying Squirrel on Monday morning. I think they might be thinking about opening soon, and I don't know how I feel about that.

We're at just about 1.3 million cases in the US, and 76,500 deaths. 38,000 in Florida.

I didn't blog yesterday. Mostly because I felt like this...

Everyone ended up on fight club yesterday. There were just a lot of outbursts. I feel like we're having a real lull in the day 50-region. The 40s flew by. I felt like I was hitting my stride. The 50s are rough.

I did pull myself together to make dessert with Hayden- Banana pudding, with nilla wafers.

It was delicious!

We did some school work, caught up on the candy bar election.

And we took 2 walks around the loop yesterday.

But just one gator sighting.

We had dinner with my mom, Cort, Holly, Gwen, Garrett, Clint, and Jess too.

And, it was a good mail day. Because this is what a mail day looks like in the age of corona virus.

This morning, I gave myself a little pep talk before getting out of bed. I told myself to keep busy and have a better attitude. The weather has been nice too, so I took Ellie on the whole loop.

And we found some things to smile about- some stuffed animals waving from the windows, and one tiny gator on the other side of the pond.

Etta, meanwhile, had a rough morning. I moved a chair across the kitchen and she got freaked out. (She gets really squinty when she's afraid, and you have to coddle her until she snaps out of it.

I'd been back for my walk for about 15 minutes, when Asa had a lull in calls, so around the gator loop we went (there were no gators though, it was too early and the pond was still in the shade.)

It was a weird day. We also had an early Peyton sighting.

He was up to see if we were going to get Panera Grocery again (I told him I had another 10 off 40 coupon). I was game. So we placed an order and did the no-contact curbside pick up again. There were more people out and about, traffic is starting to return, but gas was 3 cents a gallon cheaper than the last time we were out ($1.62 a gallon).

Oh, and fun fact, you can also get bread bowls with your order. We added the soup (which reminds me I need to add some soup onto my Costco order, since we used the last of it.) It was yummy, but a big lunch.

Hayden and I decided for our fun activity today we'd have story time with the pets. We picked books we thought they might like. Ellie seemed unimpressed with Go Dog Go, so we switched to Porkchop, and he actually seemed to enjoy it.

Obviously, Walter the Farting Dog is more relevant to Etta (she is quite the farter).

Of course, Delano would be most interested in Miles and Miles of Reptiles.

And the fish were very happy with One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

While we're in the backyard, lets do a garden check. My sunflowers are coming!!

I've got a couple more cucumbers coming.

And we harvested lots of greens and tomatoes today.

Calib was doing math with my mom today when Garrett showed us the toad he caught in his backyard. I LOVE frogs. I hardly see them in our backyard, but at night you can hear them. They love my pond with the double waterfall now.

Hayden and I also worked on cutting some squares for his tshirt quilt today.

And we held a Jones Soda draft for the next box (Peyton was busy, so I was his Proxy). I did good. He ended up with two Strawberry Lime and a Rootbeer, so he was happy.

A couple weeks ago we placed an order with Schwanns, because I had an awesome coupon code. But they have been out of everything I ordered for weeks. But today we got everything delivered!

I did some yardwork, mowed the backyard and such, so I rewarded myself with a Popsicle. I did not eat well today. Or yesterday. And it's about to be the weekend.

The weather was so nice today, look, we even got Peyton to hang out with us outside.

And then this evening we had a fire and had hot dogs and smores.

The only candy I had for them was the losers so far in the candy bar election.

We also had Hershey's drop out of the race, so we could have him in smores. He was in last place after Mallow Cups after all.

But it was a lovely night for a fire. It's actually going to be cold tonight. The low is in the 50s, maybe even the 40s. Tomorrow the high is mid-80s, but the humidity is super low. So, it should be nice.

We're all finishing the evening doing fairly well. Calib is only on fight club because he's been slightly argumentative with his brothers.

Current binge watching obsession: Billions, and  Afterlife. Calib is finally binging Ozark after I suggested it like a million times.

Most popular game: Lots of NCAA today.

Boredness scale 1 to 10: Yesterday was like a 9. Today was like a 3.

Frozen II Watchthroughs: 31. It's on right now. I thought maybe my problem yesterday is that it's been a few days since I saw Frozen II. I'm remedying that right now, and honestly, as soon as the first song came on, I felt better.

Trips to the store: 4 (2 Publix, 1 Costco, 1 Lowes), and four take out trips (Capital Tacos, 2 PDQ, and a Blaze DIY Pizza Kit) 2 Panera Grocery pickups

Grocery Deliveries: 8  (4 Costco, 4 Publix)

Food Delivery Nights: 8 (Greenland Grill & Taco Bell, and BJ's, McDonalds, Capital Tacos, 2 Wawa, and a Moes)

How many times we've walked the loop: 42. Two yesterday, 3 today.

Days Down: 55

Days Remaining: Undetermined. But probably 24 more. That's how far we are from June 1st.
