It's Sunday, so Asa and I headed out this morning for our usual Sunday bike ride. Up at the lodge there's a table and some staff with masks taking temperatures, checking lists, and keeping everything on the social distancing up and up. The pool didn't look to crowded (they are limiting people though), and we're considering trying to get a reservation for Thursday after Asa is out of work. We'll see. We've all kind of agreed we have to try things out to know if they're not for us in these coronavirus days. We can always bail if we're uncomfortable. And that'll suck, but nothing is ideal anymore. That's a hard pill for me to swallow, especially with our 10 year anniversary just one month away.
It is getting hotter out there. Summer is coming for us. We did see 5 gators on our bike ride this morning, and not too many people out on the trail.
For a fun thing today I decided to break out another puzzle. We hadn't done one since Day 17. This is our third puzzle of quarantine, for those of you keeping track. We've had this one for years, we got it super cheap when Target was closing years ago, and never did it. It's been gathering dust in the game closet.
Asa and Hayden worked on it from the beginning with me. Peyton didn't help, but Calib showed up for some of it.
But when we got to the end, we were missing two pieces (note Calib and Asa in the background looking for them).
So one showed up. But we just could not find the last one. But, if you look close, it turns out it was on the puzzle the whole time. See if you can find it.
So there you have it, puzzle number 3 complete.
Asa made us buffalo wild wings for dinner tonight. It is going to be a lentils kind of week next week, I have not eaten well the last few days. But that's fine. I'm ready for some lentils and cauliflower rice for sure.
My one sunflower is open even more today, and I've got even more coming.
After basketball tonight we went for an evening walk around the loop, and Calib walked Ellie, or rather, Ellie mostly walked herself. At one point Calib dropped the leash and off she went to Asa.
We still have some nice evening walking weather, which is shocking for mid May.
And one gator spotting for you on today's walk.
Most popular "hurricane snacks": Panera Bagels are just about gone now.
Current binge watching obsession: Finished Billions season three. Still working on Afterlife and Upload.
Most popular game: Moving Out is getting serious. Calib said when we play tonight we have to have a plan, otherwise Hayden goes crazy and Asa gets mad.
Boredness scale 1 to 10: 3. I was ok today. But, mostly I kept busy with walks, bike rides, and the puzzle.
Frozen II Watchthroughs: 34. None today (yet anyway, Tangled is on right now- we watched Beauty and the Beast and the Muppets while we puzzled).
How many times we've walked the loop: 51. One today.
Days Down: 65.
Days Remaining: Undetermined. But we've got 14 more days of this until Calib's birthday and we're going to try and got out then (to the beach, while practicing social distancing of course).
