Social Distancing Journal, Day 48

Big new of the day, uber eats added a ton of resturants who will deliver here now! When the shelter in place order first started, between all the delivery services we had like maybe 10 places who would deliver here. But they've added a ton. A lot of stuff over by Costco got added, places like Ford's Garage, and Blaze. Moes is on there now, and perhaps, most importantly, PDQ is available for delivery!

Last Saturday Asa and I went out for our bike ride, and the car had it's break lights on. Which apparently can happen when some switch breaks/cracks. We decided to just let it kill the battery and deal with it later. So we had AAA come on yesterday and get it for us, and it was ready to be picked up today.

Asa went to ride his bike to get the car, though, since our other car is currently on sitting insurance. It's 8 and a half miles, which isn't that big of a deal, usually we do 10 miles on the weekend, 13 if we're feeling like going particularly far. I wanted to go too, but we decided both bikes probably wouldn't fit in the trunk.

Saturday we had planned on picking up the Blaze take and bake family pizza kit. But, with the break lights on, we decided that was not the best idea. And, last Saturday they didn't deliver here. Anyway, so today Asa picked up the kits on his way home.

It's our fun thing today, making our own pizzas for dinner!

So we got the family kit- it comes with enough dough to make four individual pizzas (which was fine, Peyton isn't a huge Blaze pizza fan, and he was sleeping anyway.) You get to pick a kind of sauce, a kind of cheese and up to 7 toppings (which you get multiple containers of each), and a finishing sauce. It's actually A LOT of toppings.

Even so, we cut up some things we had on hand to add to it: red and white onion, banana peppers and olives.

Then they direct you to a video to watch of how to get it done.

Then we shaped our dough..

and added our toppings..

While they cooked we made salads, and we had so many toppings we used it for salads too (and we still have some left to make naan bread pizzas tomorrow for lunch, maybe.

So, our pizzas were shaped a little funny, but it totally tasted like Blaze, and it was fun for our meal to double as our fun thing to do today. The weather is nice tonight (almost a little too cold for me.)

We also added in bread, salads, and Hayden made brownies. There was plenty of food, it would have worked out even if Peyton was around for dinner.

After dinner the guys played some basketball.

And we went on the gator loop for our after dinner walk (no gators but LOTS of neighbors out and about, we resorted to walking in the street several times).

So, where are we all at today? Well, I'm a little ornary, but mostly because I have a kink in my neck, probably from powerwashing yesterday (Asa thinks so anyway), and I would have loved to have gone on the bike ride today, but couldn't bummer.

And then there was my walk with Ellie this morning. It went well enough...

...but we didn't make it around the loop before the rain poured down on us. She was not pleased with me.

But we did see two baby gators before the downpour.

Last day of April, and we've got two days left on our five week calendar. It's full of fun things we've done in Quarantine, as a reminder the past five weeks have surely had some highlights.

Current binge watching obsession: Probably Billions tonight. But there is the Parks and Rec special on too!

Most popular game: Hyrule Warriors and NCAA. Nobody wants to play board games lately. But I'll show them on mother's day.

Boredness scale 1 to 10: 5. I did a bunch of work on James Monroe's birthday today, but I can't say I was super into it.

Frozen II Watchthroughs: 29. Still none recently. We did knock Pinocchio and Dumbo off our Disney checklist today though.

Trips to the store: 4 (2 Publix, 1 Costco, 1 Lowes), and four take out trips (Capital Tacos, 2 PDQ, and a Blaze DIY Pizza Kit)

Grocery Deliveries: 6  (3Costco, 3 Publix) I placed a Costco order for tomorrow though.

Food Delivery Nights: 5 (Greenland Grill & Taco Bell, and BJ's, McDonalds, and Wawa)

How many times we've walked the loop: 33. Twice today.

Days Down: 48

Days Remaining: Undetermined. But at least 3 more.
